Pilot Information



The South Grand Lake Regional Airport is operational with many completed improvements. However, improvement construction will be continuous and ongoing for some time. The airport is very active with Fly In’s, Events and operations. Please check this button frequently for updates and information changes. (Click CALENDAR button for upcoming events)

CONSTRUCTION: Ongoing - please check NOTAMS, call the frequency at least 5 miles out, and make a visual inspection run. During events, the frequency will be monitored on the field.

FREQUENCY: 122.9.

Runway:
Runway - 5,220’ x 60’. Turn around – 80’ wide on each end of the runway. See Aerial below. Displaced Threshold - 4,744’. Weight capacity - SW 30,000#, DW 60,000# Elevation – 775’

PARKING: Ramp & Partial Parallel. No tie downs. Leave clear path for fuel farm access for other aircraft. 15 tie downs w/ eye bolts in concrete on the south end of the field. Exit at the turn around on the South end of the runway. Bring your tie down straps.

TRANSPORTATION: Rental Car drop off and pick up at the airport and Shuttle Service both available (Click SERVICE button). You may also leave a car at the airport.

FEES: No fees for using the airport or the tie downs. We will appreciate your telling others about the airport and purchasing fuel.

FUEL: New Fuel Farm

100 LL - 24 hour Credit Card Jet A – with PRISS Self Service. 24 hours Credit Card. Standard nozzle. Full service. Standard nozzle or single point. Available by advance arrangements with FBO. The FBO will be on site as soon as Terminal / Operations Hangar is completed.



GATE ACCESS: There will be one of three signs at the gate for the 4 digit lock code to access airport property

IMPROVEMENTS IN THE WORKS AND UPCOMING: Runway lights. Additional land on both sides of the runway for safety. Water, Sewer, Electric for hangar lots. Paving terminal area Taxi Lanes. Expanding the apron / ramp to the South. Development of new 20 acres. New entry and entry road. Terminal / Operations Hangar. Grading for future parallel taxi. Start up for GPS approach.

SECURITY: 24 hour Internet Security Cameras located near the ramp / fuel farm. Comprehensive Safety Plan under development. Pilot’ awareness and taking security precautions on their own aircraft is key.

HANGAR LOTS: 20 of 35 lots are leased to build hangars. If you have an interest in information on hangar lots, please make contact.
